FC Vaduz defeated USV Eschen/Mauren 5-0 in Monday's Liechtensteiner Cup final at their own Rheinpark Stadium.
Despite dominating from the off, Vaduz took 38 minutes to break the deadlock via a Benjamin Büchel own goal. Mario Sara doubled the lead from a free-kick, perhaps intended as a cross, seven minutes after the restart and the match was effectively ended by Roland Schwegler's third on 64.
Arlan and Diego Ciccone added gloss, to ensure the capital club, who play in the Swiss second division, lifted the trophy for the 40st time in the 66th edition of the competition, the 14th victory in a row. Their reward is a place in the UEFA Europa League second qualifying round.
