Meistriliiga champions FC Flora Tallinn added a fifth Estonian Cup to their list of honours, defeating JK Trans Narva 2-0 in a tightly contested final at the Lilleküla Arena.

With the match evenly poised at half-time it was Flora who came out firing after the break, grabbing goals through Markus Jürgenson and Alo Dupikov. Rauno Alliku was a constant threat for Flora, who also lifted the Estonian Super Cup at the beginning of the season.

Following a goalless first half, Flora coach Martin Reim rallied his team during the interval and they duly responded, breaking the deadlock within four minutes of the restart. Jürgenson was on hand to score after Valeri Minkenen's cross caused havoc in the Trans defence.

For all Trans's pressure they failed to find an equaliser before Dupikov's neat finish secured the silverware. "We were not expecting an easy game," said Reim. "Both teams showed character and I can't say we were far better as a group or individually but we performed with greater desire."
