Ligue 1 pacesetters LOSC Lille Métropole put seven points between themselves and their nearest challengers after coming from behind to win 2-1 at AS Saint-Étienne.
With second-placed Olympique de Marseille not in action until Wednesday, when they host Stade Brestois 29, this was the ideal opportunity for Rudi García's side to take another step towards their first top-flight title since 1954.
Though they fell behind to Emmanuel Rivière's strike (5), Túlio De Melo brought the visitors level ten minutes later. Rio Mavuba completed the recovery midway through the second period.
Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain FC missed out on the chance to reclaim third place following a 2-2 home draw with relegation-threatened AS Nancy-Lorraine. The capital club, who had Christophe Jallet (20) sent off, were twice pegged back by the visitors, who also finished with ten men after Reynald Lemaître's 71st-minute dismissal.
