The UEFA Executive Committee, chaired by UEFA President Michel Platini, holds its third meeting of the year at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland on Thursday and Friday.
A major item on the agenda includes the financial distribution to the teams taking part in next summer's UEFA EURO 2012 final tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
In addition, the Executive Committee will decide on the appointment of the UEFA committees and expert panels for the 2011-13 period. Nineteen committees are involved in shaping UEFA's policy across the broad palette of European football.
The Executive Committee will also decide on the winners of the latest UEFA Grassroots Awards. The close relationship between grassroots and glory was again underlined in the build-up to the recent UEFA Champions League final with the staging of the second UEFA Grassroots Day on 25 May, and the awards are given for outstanding achievement in grassroots football.
The next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee is scheduled for 22 and 23 September in Limassol, Cyprus.
