Champions LOSC Lille Métropole managed their first victory of the campaign thanks to a morale-boosting 2-1 triumph against an SM Caen side that had yet to drop Ligue 1 points.
Second-half goals by Benoît Pedretti (68) and Mathieu Debuchy (88) earned Rudi Garcia's side an away win, despite Benjamin Nivet's added-time penalty. Lille's victory will taste all the sweeter for the failure of their title rivals to take three points of their own. Olympique Lyonnais had to battle from a goal and a man down − Sidy Koné was sent off on 61 minutes − to earn a point that was achieved thanks to Befétimbi Gomis's equaliser.
Elsewhere, Dijon FCO managed their first ever Ligue 1 win with a 2-0 success against FC Lorient, while early pacesetters Toulouse FC required a last-minute equaliser by Adrien Regattin to draw 1-1 at OGC Nice and remain on top of the standings by a point. FC Girondins de Bordeaux against AJ Auxerre and AC Ajaccio versus Evian Thonon Gaillard also finished 1-1.
