Cagliari Calcio have parted company with coach Roberto Donadoni with the new Serie A season a fortnight away.
The 47-year-old former AC Milan and Italy midfield player replaced the sacked Pierpaolo Bisoli last November and helped the Sardinian side to avoid relegation. Massimo Ficcadenti, a free agent after seeing out his contract at AC Cesena, is tipped to replace Donadoni.
