LOSC Lille Métropole bounced back from the disappointment of their UEFA Champions League exit by winning 2-0 at home against Dijon FCO to climb within two points of the leading duo in Ligue 1.

Les Dogues failed to conjure the goal they needed against Trabzonspor AŞ on Wednesday that would have taken them through to the UEFA Champions League last 16, but they experienced no such problems on domestic duty as Moussa Sow headed them into a 16th-minute lead. Eden Hazard then doubled the advantage 13 minutes into the second half after exchanging one-twos with Joe Cole and Sow, as Lille kept the pressure on Montpellier Hérault SC and Paris Saint-Germain FC at the summit.

Two points further back in fourth, Olympique Lyonnais were also triumphant on Sunday as Alexandre Lacazette earned them a narrow 1-0 win at FC Lorient, slotting in after 54 minutes to inflict a first home loss on the Brittany side since May. Meanwhile, AJ Auxerre lifted themselves away from the danger zone courtesy of a 2-1 home defeat of OG Nice, Ben Sahar's 65th-minute effort ending a run of three consecutive defeats for the Burgundy outfit.
