Tickets for UEFA Europa League Final in Bucharest, Romania, go on sale today

The ticket sales for the UEFA Europa League Final 2012 start today, Wednesday 7 March at 12.00CET exclusively via Europe’s football website UEFA.com. The final will be played at the National Arena Bucharest in Romania on Wednesday 9 May at 21.45 local time (20.45CET). The general ticket sales period finishes on Tuesday 20 March at 12.00CET.

In line with UEFA’s policy to promote the competition amongst the general public, a total of 41,000 tickets, representing 78% of the net stadium capacity of 52,500, will go to the supporters of the two finalist teams and to general fans. Due to unprecedented local interest in UEFA Europa League Final, 20,000 tickets have been sold to local football fans with a further 3,000 tickets now being made available for sale to fans worldwide via UEFA.com. The two finalist teams will get a total of 18,000 tickets, or 9,000 each, for distribution among their supporters. The remaining tickets are allocated to the local organising committee, UEFA’s 53 national football associations and, commercial and broadcast partners.

Ticket prices for the match have been closely aligned to the local market rates and, in addition, when setting the prices for this year’s final, UEFA consulted closely with the independent Football Supporters Europe network (FSE).

Tickets are available for the general public in four price categories*:

Cat 1 500 RON

Cat 2 250 RON

Cat 3 150 RON

Cat 4 100 RON

Wheelchair access 100 RON

*100 RON = 23 EUR, exchange rate on 7 March 2012 (for information only)

Applicants can apply for up to two tickets per person and will be informed via email by 29 March whether their application has been successful or not. They will also be able to check the status of their application on the ticket portal with their log in information after this date. Tickets will be dispatched by the end of April by secure mail.

The administration fee per shipment covers handling and safe courier shipment of ticket(s) and is 90 RON within Europe and 150 RON outside Europe. Payment can be made by credit card only.

Ticketing Terms and Conditions

All ticket holders are bound by the ticketing terms and conditions and UEFA will take action in case of any breaches. Online applications will be verified with the competent authorities to ensure that anyone banned from attending football matches cannot purchase the tickets. Sales of tickets for the 2012 UEFA Europa League Final will be conducted exclusively on UEFA.com. UEFA urges all football fans to refrain from purchasing tickets or hospitality packages from unauthorised sellers, agents or websites, as such tickets may be counterfeit or invalid and an unaware purchaser may be refused admission to the stadium.
