The Football Association of Albania (FShF) and Italian Football Federation (FIGC) have signed a cooperation agreement which will see exchanges between the two associations in a variety of football areas.

The agreement was signed in the Albanian capital, Tirana, by FSHF president Armand Duka and FIGC president Giancarlo Abete. This agreement will bring close cooperation in the technical field as well as the possibility of friendly matches at all national-team levels.

A wide footballing spectrum is covered by the agreement, including technical and educational courses, seminars and conferences, as well the exchange of experience and expertise in the construction and management of sports installations, materials, sports equipment and scientific equipment; training regarding the exchange of technical personnel and organisational procedures; and exchanges of experience and expertise in training in sports science and sports medicine.

During his visit to Tirana, Mr Abete met the President of Albania, Bamir Topi, as well as the FSHF executive committee, and visited the Albanian national football association's museum together with Mr Duka. Mr Abete also took part in the inauguration of a football field donated by the FSHF at an SOS children's village for orphans. The events were attended by Italy's ambassador in Tirana, Massimo Gaiani.
