Paris Saint-Germain FC have moved back within two points of Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier Hérault SC after posting a commanding 6-1 win against struggling FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.
Needing victory to keep pressure on Montpellier, PSG opened the scoring through Javier Pastore with just six minutes gone. Second-bottom Sochaux equalised through Modibo Maiga six minutes later, but Thiago Motta and Jérémy Menez gave the hosts a 3-1 lead at half-time, before Nenê struck twice after the break and Sylvain Armand rounded off the scoring in added time.
Also on Sunday, Olympique Lyonnais climbed up to fourth thanks to a 3-2 comeback success against FC Lorient, Cris, Lisandro and Bafétimbi Gomis finding the net after the visitors had taken a 2-0 lead. Lastly, AC Ajaccio lifted themselves out of the relegation zone with a goalless draw at home against AS Nancy-Lorraine.
