Four second-half goals steered Olympique Lyonnais to a 4-1 victory against ES Troyes Aube Champagne before FC Lorient dramatically condemned Montpellier Hérault SC to defeat.
After a goalless first half in the early Ligue 1 fixture, Lyon fell behind to Jean-Christophe Bahebeck's 47th-minute effort. Troyes' joy was short-lived, however, as Bafétimbi Gomis (51) equalised with a firm header. Michel Bastos' superbly-executed overhead kick swung the match in Lyon's favour, late goals from Lisandro and another from Gomis completing a second successive win.
Summer signing Emanuel Herrera (37) seemed to have earned Montpellier their first three-point haul of the campaign as the champions' encounter with Lorient entered the closing stages. There was a twist in store, though, with Alain Traoré (90) levelling and Jérémie Aliadière striking two minutes later to stun René Girard's men.
Toulouse FC have four points after Étienne Capoue (35) and Wissam Ben Yedder (59) helped them to a 2-1 success against AS Saint-Étienne. Elsewhere, nine-man Stade de Reims Champagne lost 2-1 at SC Bastia, Stade Brestois 29 overcame Évian Thonon Gaillard FC 1-0 and Valenciennes FC-OGC Nice ended goalless.
