Olympique Lyonnais dropped their first points of the new season, following up back-to-back wins with a 1-1 draw at Évian Thonon Gaillard FC.
The home side had lost their opening two games in Ligue 1, but 36-year-old midfielder Cédric Barbosa put them ahead on 57 minutes with a tidy volley. However, there were question marks over the organisation of the Évian defensive wall when Lyon substitute Michel Bastos came off the bench to strike the equaliser from a direct free-kick with 17 minutes remaining.
