Olympique de Marseille maintained their perfect start in Ligue 1 with a sixth consecutive victory as they defeated Évian Thonon Gaillard FC 1-0.

Despite their exertions in midweek, when they fought back to draw 2-2 with Fenerbahçe SK in the UEFA Europa League, Elie Baup's side kept their domestic momentum going thanks to Morgan Amalfitano's 33rd-minute winner. The midfielder turned in a Mathieu Valbuena free-kick at the near post to send OM further clear at the top of Ligue 1.

Elsewhere, LOSC Lille are still looking for their first win since the opening day of the season despite Nolan Roux handing them a seventh-minute lead against Olympique Lyonnais. Lisandro hit back with ten minutes to go for the visitors to keep them within four points of Marseille.

In the day's other game, FC Girondins de Bordeaux remain unbeaten following a 2-2 draw at home against AC Ajaccio in which they twice took the lead. Chahir Belghazouani levelled in added time to secure a share of the spoils for the visitors.
