Two goals from André-Pierre Gignac cancelled out a Zlatan Ibrahimović double for Paris Saint-Germain FC as Olympique de Marseille held on for a 2-2 draw that maintained their three-point lead atop Ligue 1.
Gignac put Marseille ahead in Le Classique with an excellent finish (17), but the hosts were trailing just eight minutes later as Ibrahimović came to the fore in stunning fashion. The Sweden striker volleyed in Maxwell's corner to level and then struck a superb free-kick just two minutes later, before Gignac glanced in a header from Mathieu Valbuena's corner as the frenetic first half continued. Neither side were able to increase their tally after the break, however.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Olympique Lyonnais kept hold of third spot by securing a 1-1 draw at fourth-placed FC Lorient, Bafétimbi Gomis putting the visitors ahead on 23 minutes before Jérémie Aliadière equalised shortly after the break. FC Girondins de Bordeaux, in sixth, drew by the same scoreline at Stade Brestois 29.
