Diego Milito struck twice to dash Juventus's hopes of a 50-match unbeaten Serie A run and lift FC Internazionale Milano to within a point of the leaders on a night when AC Milan scored five.

The Derby d'Italia could not have started better for Juve as there were less than 20 seconds on the clock when Arturo Vidal turned in Kwadwo Asamoah's cross. However, just before the hour Claudio Marchisio pulled back Milito in the box and the visiting striker converted the penalty for his first goal against the Turin club in Nerazzurri colours.

A second followed 16 minutes later as Milito pounced when Gianluigi Buffon could only parry a Fredy Guarín shot. Rodrigo Palacio made certain of Inter's seventh successive league victory late on.

Earlier, Milan had hit form with a 5-1 defeat of AC Chievo Verona. Urby Emanuelson's 16th-minute strike was cancelled out when Sergio Pellissier headed in a corner, but before half-time Riccardo Montolivo emphatically finished off a smooth passing move and Bojan Krkić opened his Milan account with a low finish. Serie A top scorer Stephan El Shaarawy made it four with 15 minutes left before setting up Giampaolo Pazzini in added time.
