RC Deportivo La Coruña have confirmed that coach Domingos Paciência has left the Galician club after just six games in charge.
The Portuguese tactician took over the Liga's bottom-placed side at the end of December and enjoyed a bright start with a 1-0 victory against UEFA Champions League challengers Málaga CF on 5 January. A draw followed by four consecutive defeats since, however, have led to the former SC Braga and Sporting Clube de Portugal coach's departure.
Speaking after Deportivo's 3-0 home reverse against Granada CF on Sunday, ex-FC Porto and Portugal striker Paciência, 44, said: "I only want the best for Depor and if that means me leaving then it won't be a problem." The Riazor outfit lie six points from safety in the Spanish table.
