Serie A leaders Juventus left it late but restored their 11-point lead at the head of the table with a 2-0 Derby della Mole success at Torino FC.

SSC Napoli cut the gap yesterday with a win at Pescara Calcio, and it appeared the Bianconeri would fail to find a way past their city rivals, until Arturo Vidal struck from 20 metres with 86 minutes on the clock. Claudio Marchisio doubled the lead in added time, meaning a point against US Città di Palermo next Sunday will secure the club their second consecutive Scudetto.

AC Milan occupy the league's third UEFA Champions League place after twice coming from behind to eventually defeat Calcio Catania 4-2, with Giampaolo Pazzini hitting a double. ACF Fiorentina remain hot on the Rossoneri's heels a point back, though, after they prevailed 3-0 at UC Sampdoria thanks to goals from Juan Guillermo Cuadrado, Adem Ljajić and Alberto Aquilani.

Elsewhere, AS Roma are in line for a UEFA Europa League slot after jumping into fifth position, Pablo Osvaldo's hat-trick helping them to a 4-0 success at AC Siena. The hosts dropped into the relegation zone as a result, with Palermo climbing out following a 1-0 success against FC Internazionale Milano, their fifth game without defeat. Another team in trouble, Genoa CFC in 18th, also gave themselves hope with a 1-0 win at AC Chievo Verona.
