Spain enjoy warm-up win against Haiti

Spain warmed up for this month's FIFA Confederations Cup with a 2-1 friendly victory against Haiti in Miami.

Santi Cazorla and Cesc Fàbregas struck in the first half to ensure Wild-Donald Guerrier's 75th-minute goal remained a consolation for La Roja's threatening opponents. 



Seeking to extend their unbeaten run to 21 games, Vicente del Bosque's side took an eighth-minute lead when Arsenal FC attacker Cazorla found space outside the area before drilling a low, left-footed drive into the corner of the net. Appearing in his 79th match for the UEFA EURO 2012 winners, Fàbregas brought his goals tally to 13 when he headed in Juan Mata's chipped pass.


Substitute Roberto Soldado almost extended Spain's lead in the second half when he struck a post, yet it was Haiti who reduced their deficit soon after when Guerrier stormed through, wrong-footed goalkeeper Pepe Reina and dragged his finish in at the far post.

Spain will look to lift their fourth international title in five years when they open their Confederations Cup bid against Uruguay in Recife on 16 June, but before that the world and European champions face the Republic of Ireland in New York on Tuesday.
