Liga sides RC Celta de Vigo and Levante UD will boast new coaches next season after Luis Enrique and Joaquín Caparrós answered the clubs' respective calls over the weekend.
Former Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona and Spain attacker Enrique arrives at Celta – who avoided relegation on the final day – on a two-year contract after agreeing to take over from Abel Resino. The 43-year-old began his coaching career with FC Barcelona B before spending a season in charge of AS Roma.
The experienced Caparrós, meanwhile, steps in to fill the void left by Juan Ignacio Martínez, whose contract at Levante was not renewed at the end of the recently concluded campaign in which the Granotes finished 11th. Most recently in charge of RCD Mallorca, the 57-year-old Caparrós – who signed a one-year deal with the Valencia-based side – has also enjoyed spells at Sevilla FC, RC Deportivo La Coruña and Athletic Club, among others
