FC Internazionale Milano maintained their unbeaten start to the season after rallying from a goal down to defeat ACF Fiorentina 2-1 at San Siro.
The match hung in the balance until Joaquín was upended in the penalty area on the hour – Giuseppe Rossi coolly dispatched the spot kick for his fifth goal in as many league games. The visitors' momentum was punctured 12 minutes later, though, as Esteban Cambiasso capitalised on a mistake by goalkeeper Neto to equalise. Brazilian full-back Jonathan completed the turnaround shortly after by blasting in from close range.
A grandstand finish ensued, with Neto expertly tipping Álvaro Pereira's shot over the bar before Cambiasso drilled centimetres wide. Then as the clock ticked down, Samir Handanovič sprung to his left to deflect Massimo Ambrosini's low strike past a post as Inter held out to climb into second spot. Vincenzo Montella's team remain fifth.
