Paris Saint-Germain FC moved clear at the Ligue 1 summit thanks to two goals apiece from Zlatan Ibrahimović and Edinson Cavani, while LOSC Lille continued to impress.
With AS Monaco FC not in action until tomorrow, PSG stole a three-point march with an emphatic home win against SC Bastia. Ibrahimović scored twice inside the opening 13 minutes, the first a stunning overhead back-heel, and Cavani put the result beyond doubt with a second-half double to take his tally for the season to six.
LOSC's fine form continued at Montpellier Hérault SC thanks to Pape Souaré's first-half goal. René Girard's charges are now unbeaten in five games and have not conceded on that run.
Foued Kadir scored his second double of the season for Stade Rennais FC, who failed to hold on to a two-goal lead against Valenciennes FC. EA Guingamp came from behind to beat Évian Thonon Gaillard FC and Alejandro Bedoya hit a late winner for FC Nantes at AC Ajaccio.
On Friday, Olympique de Marseille slipped to a 1-0 defeat at OGC Nice, Dario Cvitanich's goal five minutes before half-time proved the difference. Toulouse FC overcame Stade de Reims 2-1 thanks to Martin Braithwaite's 88th-minute penalty.
