Getafe CF maintained their excellent form with a 2-0 success at Granada CF, while Elche FC also picked up three points to keep up their own hot streak.

Granada became Getafe's fourth successive victims in the Liga, Luis García's men taking advantage of Pape Diakhaté's first-half red card to collect maximum points. Jeison Murillo's own goal broke the deadlock after the interval and Pedro León also registered to move the Azulones into fifth.

Elche extended their own winning streak with a 2-1 triumph at Real Betis Balompié. Manu and Fidel Chaves de la Torre scored four minutes apart to put the visitors two up, meaning Jorge Molina's 41st-minute response could not prevent a third straight victory for Elche.

Sevilla FC were on track to make it three wins from their last four when Carlos Bacca and Alberto Moreno put them two up at Real Valladolid CF. However, substitute Manucho and Patrick Ebert struck in the final nine minutes for the hosts to deny Unai Emery's men. Rayo Vallecano de Madrid are up to 14th, meanwhile, following their 1-0 win at bottom-of-the-table UD Almería. Defender Alejandro Gálvez got the decisive goal 12 minutes from time.
