Genoa CFC prevented Torino FC from replacing them in seventh spot in Serie A as they came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with the Granata on Saturday, while Parma FC and Bologna FC also shared the spoils.
It appeared that Giampiero Ventura's side would overtake the hosts when Omar El Kaddouri drilled them in front from the edge of the area seven minutes in. Unbeaten in their last four, however, Genoa came back into the match after the break and levelled on 69 minutes as midfielder Davide Biondini slotted Giannis Fetfatzidis's ball into the corner from close range.
In the day's early game, Parma were held to a 1-1 draw by fourth-bottom Bologna. Rolando Bianchi set up Panagiotis Kone to put the visitors ahead from distance on ten minutes, before Antonio Cassano volleyed high into the net midway through the first half for his 100th Serie A goal. Bologna lost Frederik Sørensen to a second yellow card shortly after the restart, but the ninth-placed hosts could not take advantage.
