The UEFA Research Grant Programme is designed to establish a series of awards of up to €20,000 to support the valuable work of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers studying European football. By shedding new light on football and the myriad ways in which it interrelates with society as a whole, high-quality research can help the members of the European football family fulfil their mission and reach more informed decisions.
Research proposals from the following research disciplines may be submitted for consideration by the UEFA Research Grant Jury:
• Economics
• History
• Law
• Management
• Political science
• Sociology
• Medical sciences
The UEFA Research Grant Jury comprises a chairman, four representatives of the European football family and four academics known internationally for their work linked to European football in particular or sport in general.
The deadline for UEFA Research Grant Programme applications is 31 March each year.
