Ramsey guides Arsenal to win on Cardiff return

Arsenal FC moved seven points clear in England after Aaron Ramsey inspired the Gunners to a 3-0 victory at former club Cardiff City AFC, with Everton FC impressing to move fourth.

Arsenal FC stretched their advantage at the top of the Premier League with a 3-0 win at Cardiff City AFC, as Aaron Ramsey continued his outstanding season on his return to his former club.

With nearest challengers Liverpool FC and Chelsea FC playing on Sunday, the Gunners moved seven points clear in the standings with a 3-0 success in the Welsh capital. Jack Wilshere struck the post in the first minute as Arsenal signalled their intent, and they went ahead on 29 minutes as Ramsey met Mesut Özil's left-wing cross with a thumping header, his seventh league goal of the season. Mathieu Flamini struck in the 86th minute to seal the win and Ramsey hit his second on the break in added time.

Everton FC moved fourth with an impressive 4-0 home success against Stoke City FC as Gerard Deulofeu put the hosts 1-0 up on the stroke of half-time. Seamus Coleman, Bryan Oviedo and Romelu Lukaku added to the scoreline after the interval to make it six undefeated for the Toffees. As for Newcastle United FC, they are fifth following a 2-1 success against West Bromwich Albion FC.

Also on Saturday, Norwich City FC edged bottom side Crystal Palace FC 1-0 thanks to Gary Hooper's 30th-minute effort and West Ham United FC beat Fulham FC 3-0. Aston Villa FC and second-bottom Sunderland AFC played out a goalless stalemate.
