Champions Juventus are three points clear of AS Roma at the top of Serie A after they responded to another draw for their nearest rivals by defeating Udinese Calcio 1-0.

The Old Lady's five-game winning run in the league was coming to an end until Fernando Llorente headed in Stephan Lichtsteiner's cross in the 91st minute.

Having opened the season with ten successive victories, Roma have now drawn four games in a row, and were moments away from suffering their first defeat. Rudi Garcia's side fell behind at Atalanta BC when Davide Brivio struck after the interval, but Kevin Strootman equalised in the 90th minute to rescue a point.

FC Internazionale Milano looked set to move above SSC Napoli into the top three as they went into the dying stages of their match against UC Sampdoria with a one-goal lead courtesy of Fredy Guarín's opener. However, Renan levelled for the strugglers a minute from time to ensure the spoils were shared at San Siro.

AC Milan recorded their first away league success of the season as they defeated Calcio Catania 3-1, despite falling behind in the 13th minute to Lucas Castro's effort. Riccardo Montolivo, Mario Balotelli and Kaká responded for the Rossoneri.
