LOSC Lille and AS Monaco FC both won on Tuesday to move within one and two points of the reigning champions respectively, and that remains the case after 's 75th-minute goal and Modou Sougou's late effort proved enough to beat Paris.
AS Saint-Etienne missed the chance to move level on points with fourth-place Olympique de Marseille as they lost 3-1 at Stade Rennais FC, Silvio Romero striking twice. FC Girondins de Bordeaux are level with St-Etienne after Julien Faubert's goal saw off EA Guingamp as both teams ended with ten men.
AC Ajaccio drew 1-1 with SC Bastia to pull one point ahead of bottom side FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, beaten 2-0 at home by Stade de Reims. Montpellier Hérault SC remain fourth from bottom, reduced to nine men in a 2-0 home loss against FC Lorient.
