Parma FC are up to seventh in Serie A after seeing off lowly AS Livorno Calcio to maintain their excellent run of form, on a day when SS Lazio and Bologna FC share the spoils.

Raffaele Palladino set Parma on their way in just the second minute, neatly volleying in from ten metres, but Parma had to wait until the 86th minute before killing the game off. Massimo Gobbi's low effort came back off a post but Amauri was on hand to fire in the rebound, and the forward got his second from the penalty spot in added time, ensuring Parma's undefeated run in Serie A extends to eight games.

There was nothing to seperate the teams in the day's other game, with Lazio's 0-0 draw at Bologna meaning the Biancocelesti rise one place in the standings to ninth. It was in fact the 17th-placed hosts who came closest to a winner, forcing Lazio keeper Etrit Berisha into a number of saves, most notably from Alessandro Diamanti and Lazaros Christodoulopoulos.
