UEFA Congress scheduled for Astana

The XXXVIII Ordinary UEFA Congress will take place on Thursday 27 March at the Palace of Independence in Astana, Kazakhstan, and will be streamed live on UEFA.com.

The XXXVIII Ordinary UEFA Congress will take place on Thursday 27 March at the Palace of Independence in Astana, Kazakhstan, starting at 09.30 local time.

The Congress, which is UEFA's supreme governing organ, meets annually and is made up of representatives from each of UEFA's 54 member associations. A media conference, attended by UEFA President Michel Platini and UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino, will be held immediately after the Congress has concluded, at approximately 14.00 local time (09.00CET).

The main items on the agenda are:

• The annual reports of the UEFA President and the Executive Committee, and the annual report of the UEFA administration for 2012/13

• Reports on the activities of the UEFA committees

• Financial matters including the annual UEFA consolidated statement of accounts for 2012/13 and the budget for the 2014/15 financial year

• Amendments to the UEFA Statutes

Media representatives wishing to attend the congress are requested to inform UEFA by emailing fame_accreditations@uefa.ch with the words 'UEFA Congress Kazakhstan' in the subject header by Friday 21 February at 12.00CET.

A media working area equipped with wireless connection (Wi-Fi) will be available. Further information will be issued together with the accreditation confirmation. The whole congress will be streamed live on UEFA.com.

Prior to the UEFA Congress, the UEFA Executive Committee will meet on 25 and 26 March at the Rixos President Astana Hotel in Astana. The agenda for this meeting, with further information on the post-Executive Committee press conference, will be communicated in due course.
