Stade Rennais FC earned a French Cup semi-final with Angers SCO after Kamil Grosicki and Romain Alessandrini scored to see off LOSC Lille 2-0.
Rennes, a full 13 positions behind third-placed LOSC in Ligue 1, took the lead on 34 minutes when Romain Alessandrini's cross set up Grosicki for the Poland winger's first goal since joining from Sivasspor in January. Alessandrini made certain of victory from distance as the game entered added time.
In the last four, Rennes face second disivion Angers in mid-April as they aim for a place in the 3 May Stade de France final against AS Monaco FC or EA Guingamp.
