AS Roma moved back within five points of Serie A leaders Juventus thanks to a Mattia Destro-inspired 3-1 victory at Cagliari Calcio.

The result puts pressure on the Bianconeri, who host AS Livorno Calcio on Monday night, with Italy's two leading clubs set to face each other in the capital in the penultimate game of the season.

The Giallorossi made sure they maintained the pace as Destro tapped in from Gervinho's cross after 32 minutes, before doubling the advantage by finishing smartly on the break 11 minutes after the restart. The 23-year-old completed his hat-trick in the 73rd minute to make it six wins in a row for Rudi Garcia's side.

As for third-placed SSC Napoli, they fell 1-0 at Parma FC following Marco Parolo's second-half finish. The Neapolitan club now stand nine points clear of ACF Fiorentina, 2-1 winners at home to Udinese Calcio thanks to a Juan Cuadrado strike and Gonzalo Rodríguez's penalty.

Sixth-placed SS Lazio beat UC Sampdoria 2-0, while Torino FC were 2-1 victors at bottom side Calcio Catania. Lastly, US Sassuolo Calcio boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation as Nicola Sansone's double secured a 2-0 win at Atalanta BC.
