AC Chievo Verona have parted company with coach Eugenio Corini in the wake of Saturday's 3-0 away defeat against AS Roma, the team's fifth loss in their seven Serie A fixtures this term.

"The club would like to thank the coach for his professionalism, his efforts and dedication and we wish him the best as he continues his career," read a brief statement on the club's official website.

The 44-year-old, who made 134 appearances for Chievo as a player, was first handed the reins in October 2012 and, after leaving at the end of that season, returned four months later to replace the departing Giuseppe Sannino.
