Molde FK secured the second half of a Norwegian double as they defeated Odds BK 2-0 in the Norwegian Cup final in front of a packed Ullevaal Stadion in Oslo.

Despite a goalless first period, the first 45 minutes brought chances for both sides, though neither could grab the initiative before the interval. However, Molde – cup holders following a 4-2 win against Rosenborg BK last season – secured the upper hand after the restart and took a deserved lead in the 73rd minute as Fredrik Gulbrandsen wriggled free to put them ahead.

Odd were unable to rally back and Mohamed Elyounoussi added a second after taking advantage of some fragile defending to ensure victory from close range. The triumph crowned an incredible first season for Tor Ole Skullerud in the Molde dugout, after the side earlier took 71 out of a possible 90 points to set a new record in winning the league.
