Neil Warnock has become the first managerial casualty of the Premier League season after being dismissed by struggling Crystal Palace FC.
Warnock began his second spell in charge of the club after taking over from Tony Pulis in August, but the 66-year-old managed just three league wins and leaves with Palace third from bottom following yesterday's 3-1 home loss to Southampton FC.
"The club would like to put on record its thanks to Neil for all his hard work and energy over the past four months," read a statement on Palace's website. The London side have appointed assistant manager Keith Millen as caretaker boss, with the former defender facing his first test away against Queens Park Rangers FC on Sunday.
