UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector Faruk Baştürk has passed away at the age of 37.
He had served as head of the legal department at the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) since March 2012, having previously worked as the managing coordinator of the dispute resolution chamber between April 2008 and July 2011. He became an Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector with UEFA in 2013.
Among his other roles, Faruk Baştürk worked as a sports law instructor in post-graduate programmes at Kadir Has University and Özyeğin University, both in Istanbul. Earlier in his career, he was an attorney at various companies.
