• Juan Luis Larrea Sarobe performed various tasks in the banking world for 48 years, working for Banco Vizcaya, Banco Zaragozano, Banco Guipuzcoano, and finally for Banco Sabadell, where he retired in December 2017, as director of sport and entertainment.

• In the 1981/82 season, he became a member of the Guipuzcoan Football Federation, and was elected as president in 1987. He has been a member of the board of directors of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) since 1988, serving as treasurer since then. He currently holds the chairmanship of the RFEF management committee.

• He has been a national senior team delegate since 1993, and has worked at UEFA EURO and FIFA World Cups final tournaments. He was elected to the UEFA Executive Committee at the Bratislava Congress in February 2018.
