APOEL Nicosia FC saw their advantage cut to one point after drawing 1-1 with Enosis Neon Paralimniou FC.

Cypriot first division leaders APOEL Nicosia FC saw their advantage cut to one point after being held 1-1 by Enosis Neon Paralimniou FC.

Kennedy levels
Unbeaten champions APOEL seemed to be set for their 12th win in 16 games when Barnabas Sztipanovics headed in Kostakis Malekkos's 13th-minute cross. But Nigerian Nagoli Kennedy, a recent Enosis signing, swiftly equalised and APOEL were unable to make their advantage tell to drop two points hot on the heels of their 5-4 Cypriot Cup group stage loss to AEK Larnaca FC.

Aris overcome
Omonia Nicosia FC took full advantage of APOEL's slip with a 3-0 victory against bottom-placed Aris Limassol. Zoran Stjepanovic, Kostas Kaiafas and Yiotis Panagiotou scored second-half goals to beat a side still with only one point this season.

Tomic winner
Anorthosis Famagusta FC continued their improved form under recently-appointed coach Andreas Michaelides to claim third place from Olympiakos Nicosia FC thanks to a 2-1 win. Slovakian international striker Josef Kozlej did give visitors Olympiakos the lead in the first half but Marios Neophytou equalised on 57 minutes and ten minutes from the end new home signing Vladan Tomic justified his inclusion with a powerfully-struck winner.

Cameroon double
AEL Limassol FC's improving form showed no signs of faltering as Yiannis Mantzourakis's side secured a comfortable 4-2 victory against AEK Larnaca FC, while second-half goals from Cameroonian striker Nicholas Dikoume and Lambros Lambrou ensured Ethnikos Achnas FC's recent poor run came to an end as they beat Apollon Limassol FC 2-0 at home.

Sunday games
On Sunday, lowly Dighenis Morphou FC and Nea Salamis FC played out a 1-1 draw in Nicosia, and AEP Paphos FC earned a 1-0 victory away to likely relegation candidates Alki Larnaca FC.
