SK Tirana continued their 100 per cent start to the season with a 2-0 victory over KS Vallaznia and are the only side in the Liga e Pare to have won both their league games so far this season.
Goals from midfield
Tirana, runners-up to city rivals KS Dinamo Tirana last season, are yet to concede a goal, and took the three points today thanks to goals from midfield players Jan Venhof and Mahir Halili. Venhof opened the scoring two minutes before half-time from the penalty spot and Halili made sure of victory with the second goal nine minutes after the hour.
Resounding home success
KS Flamurtari in second place after recording a convincing 3-0 home win against KS Elbasani. KS Shkumbini lie in third following a 1-1 draw at home to KS Bylis. Oltion Osmani put the home side in front with a penalty, but Klodjan Asllani’s late spot-kick levelled for the visitors.
Dinamo held
Champions Dinamo were held to their second draw in succession after KS Apolonia claimed a point in a 1-1 draw. An Ardi Muca own goal put Dinamo in front, but the visitors pulled level four minutes later through Jurgen Mali.
Besëlidhja beaten
In today’s other matches, KS Besa defeated KS Besëlidhja 1-0, KS Partizani won 2-1 at KS Teuta and the match between KS Erzeni and KF Lushnja ended goalless.
