Borg smashes B36 ahead
Jakup a Borg fired B36 into a first-half lead but Hedin a Lakjuni equalised for the home side on the hour mark. The lead was restored a minute later, however, through Egil Zachariassen before John Petersen put the game beyond Klaksvík in the 79th minute. Ove Nytsed pulled one back for Klaksvík in the final minute but it was too little too late.
Tórshavn in impressive form
HB Tórshavn's recent run of form in the Faroe Islands Cup - where they knocked out B36 in the quarter-finals - transferred to the league as they demolished NSÍ Runavík 4-0. Uni Arge, the league's all-time leading scorer, broke the deadlock after 19 minutes before Andrew av Flotum, who spent most of last season injured, scored the second from the penalty spot in the 37th minute. Hans a Lag and Runi Nolsoe rounded off the scoring in the second half.
Tyøroyri's winning start
Top-flight newcomers TB Tyøroyri surprised VB Vágur with a hard-fought 1-0 win, thanks to a goal from Einer Petersen in the 15th minute, while EB/Streymur overcame newcomers Skala with a solitary goal from Polish defender Andrzej Jacek, seven minutes from time.
Gøtu hold B68
GÍ Gøtu maintained their good record at B68 Toftír as they drew 1-1. Toftír had taken an eleventh-minute lead through Ossur Hansen but Zdzislaw Janik levelled the scores in the 67th minute.
