Twente go for Gakhokidze

Transfer round-up: FC Twente, VfL Bochum and Kilmarnock FC all signed players on Monday.

FC Twente, VfL Bochum and Kilmarnock FC all recruited players on Monday, with Georgian forward Giorgi Gakhokidze signing a one-year contract with Twente.

Out of contract
The 27-year-old international joins from PSV Eindhoven, where he was out of contract. Gakhokidze joined PSV in 1998 but never really established himself and spent the 1999/2000 season on loan at Israeli club Maccabi Haifa FC. Gakhokidze is Twente's sixth signing ahead of the new season, following the arrivals of Jelle ten Rouwelaar, Arco Jochemsen, Kim Christensen, Mohammed Allach and Bas Sibum.

Madsen on the move
Over the border in Germany, VfL Bochum 1848 have signed Danish international Thomas Madsen from VfL Wolfsburg. The 25-year-old striker played in last summer’s FIFA World Cup finals, but due to injuries, made just four appearances in the Bundesliga last season. Wolfsburg coach Jürgen Röber sanctioned the move to Bochum, although no details of a transfer fee or the player's contract have been revealed.

Kilmarnock get Hardie
In Scotland, Kilmarnock FC manager Jim Jefferies has made his first signing of the summer, bringing midfield player Martin Hardie to Rugby Park on a one-year contract. Hardie was at Partick Thistle FC last season.
