Free transfer
The 30-year-old moves to the Rapid stadium on a three-month deal, which is dependent on appearances. A free agent since he left Scottish club Aberdeen FC by mutual consent last month, Bisconti links up with his former R. Standard de Liège coach Mircea Rednic at Rapid.
Old pals' act
With ex-Standard team-mate Manuel Godfroid also at the Bucharest club, Bisconti said: "Rednic and Godfroid are the main reasons I agreed to join. All I want is to win the title here and, who knows, maybe I will stay beyond the summer."
Rapid exits
Bisconti, who also played for R. Charleroi SC in Belgium, will reinforce the Rapid midfield following the departures of Constantin Schumacher to China and Marius Maldarasanu to Turkey's Besiktas JK. Rapid have a ten-point advantage at the top of the First Division, which resumes after the winter break on 1 March.
