Jon Dahl Tomasson has been voted Denmark's footballer of the year for the second time by his fellow players.
Decisive victory
In the poll of domestic league and foreign-based Danish players, the AC Milan forward captured 60 per cent of the vote to win an award he previously took in 2002. He beat fellow nominees Thomas Gravesen, Niclas Jensen, Per Krøldrup and Thomas Kahlenberg after a year in which Tomasson scored eight goals for Denmark, including three at UEFA EURO 2004™.
'Grateful and proud'
Tomasson said: "I am particularly grateful and proud of this honour, as it comes from the true experts - my colleagues on the football field. Others may consider themselves experts, but those who have given me this award are the true experts."
