Swedish international midfielder Tobias Linderoth has joined Galatasaray SK after the Turkish giants paid FC København an undisclosed fee.

Two titles
The 28-year-old has signed a three-year contract with the Istanbul side who will compete in next season's UEFA Cup second qualifying round after finishing third in the Süper Lig. The former IF Elfsborg and Stabæk IF player scored four goals in 82 Superliga games for København after arriving from Everton FC in 2004, winning the title in the last two of his three seasons in Denmark.

'A fantastic time'
"My family and I have had a fantastic time in Copenhagen, with Danish titles and participation in the UEFA Champions League," Linderoth said. "The club and all the people here will always have a special place in my heart." København had tried to persuade the 68-times international to agree a new contract as they prepare for the first qualifying round of UEFA Champions League but failed.
