One-year deal
TheGerman international goalkeeper, who has won 44 caps, has accepted a one-year deal, with Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger confirming the news. "I'm going to stay an extra year, Arsenal are a great club with a good outlook," the goalkeeper said earlier this week. Lehmann is in his fourth season at the London club, having made 138 Premiership appearances to date. He won a league title in 2003/04, his first season, added the FA Cup in the following campaign and helped the team to the UEFA Champions League final in 2005/06, only to be sent off in the defeat against FC Barcelona. The former FC Schalke 04, AC Milan and BV Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper should be playing in the UEFA Champions League again next season, with Arsenal on target for a top-four Premiership finish.
