Miguel is the deputy general secretary and integrity director of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, having previously headed its legal department.

He is an academic of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation of Spain, arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sports of the Spanish Olympic Committee and teaches administrative law at the Carlos III University. He formerly worked at Real Madrid CF and the Spanish Professional Football League.

He completed the UEFA FLP II and has a PhD and a Master's degree in sports law. Miguel is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.

He joined the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body in 2019.
