Eto'o opportunity
It was a crucial strike as the point secured a 17th Primera División title for his team, with Real Madrid CF failing to beat Sevilla FC. And with the English Premiership concluding yesterday, and Henry not adding to his tally, Eto'o now has a golden opportunity to top the chart.
Makaay double
FC Bayern München's Roy Makaay was another star performer, registering twice in the German champions' 6-3 defeat of 1. FC Nürnberg. Trabzonpor's Fatih Tekke moved ahead of Vincenzo Montella and Andrew Johnson as he scored once to take his total to 29. Finally, Christian Giménez's phenomenal run of 12 goals in five matches has fired FC Basel 1893 to the Swiss championship - and the striker to joint-13th place in the table.

*Season finished
Only the leading five countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) on the UEFA Ranking have two as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in international performance level between clubs from those countries and those from the other countries.
A player cannot first play in a summer league (eg Norway) and then in a winter league (eg Spain) and combine the points total for each season.
