Replaced Ibrahimovic
The 19-year-old Egyptian striker, hit his second and third goals in two matches, after starting in place of the dropped Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Mido's first goal came in the 36th minute and was a near-post header from Andy van der Meyde's cross. He added his second 17 minutes after the interval, finishing off Wamberto's corner from close range.
Feyenoord keep pace
Free-scoring Feyenoord made sure the gap at the top stayed at three points with a convincing 3-0 home win over FC Den Bosch. However, the De Kuip faithful had to wait until late in the game for the goals. Pierre van Hooijdonk netted after 67 and 90 minutes, bracketing Bonaventure Kalou's strike ten minutes from time.
PSV held
Champions PSV Eindhoven, who are involved in a UEFA Cup quarter-final with Feyenoord and face their rivals in the second leg on Thursday, fell off the pace following a goalless draw against SBV Vitesse in Arnhem.
Gluscevic double
Two second-half strikes from Igor Gluscevic helped seventh-placed FC Utrecht collect three welcome points at the expense of bottom club SC Fortuna Sittard. Patrick Zwaanswijk put Utrecht ahead seconds before the half-time whistle, before Gluscevic scored his first of the afternoon after 66 minutes. The Yugoslavian international then grabbed his second three minutes from time to complete a convincing 3-0 victory.
Pitch invasion
FC Twente's match against FC Groningen at the Arke stadium in Enschede was interrupted by a pitch invasion after Magnus Johansson's decisive spot-kick ten minutes from time. Referee Herman van Dijk took the players off the field for 15 minutes, but Groningen returned to complete their 1-0 victory.
RKC in charge
In Sunday's other game, Garry de Graef scored with just over a minute remaining to give RKC Waalwijk a 2-1 win over NEC Nijmegen at the Mandemakers stadium. Jochen Jansson gave RKC the lead in the 27th minute, but Dennis de Nooijer cancelled it out with an equaliser eleven minutes after half-time.
