Tirol romp to victory
Joachim Loew's league leaders completed a spectacular 4-1 home win against Schwarz-Weiss Bregenz. Jürgen Panis scored from Radoslav Gilewicz's pass after just seven minutes and Zoran Barisic's free-kick and Michael Baur's tap-in gave them a commanding 3-0 half-time lead.
Consolation goal
Roland Kirchler's header six minutes after the break made it four for the rampant hosts, meaning Axel Lawaree's 68th-minute reply from 15 metres was of little consequence.
Grazer concede late
There was more good news for Tirol as second-placed Grazer AK and third-placed Sturm both failed to win. Grazer looked to be on their way to victory when Skelly Adu Tutu caught new FK Austria Wien goalkeeper Marc Ziegler by surprise from the edge of the penalty area but they were made to pay for a string of missed chances when Michael Wagner equalised with just one minute remaining.
Sturm slip up
Sturm Graz made a similarly good start at SV Ried as a 13th-minute solo run by Alain Masudi set up Imre Szabics to crack the opener from inside the area. However, they let their concentration slip and were punished with 15 minutes to go when Tino Wawra fired home a rebound before Sturm's Martin Pregelj was dismissed for an injury-time body-check.
Admira hang on
In the day's other game rock-bottom VfB Admira Wacker Mödling held on for a 0-0 home draw against fifth-placed FC Kärnten. The seemingly doomed hosts need wins to have any chance of staying up but Roland Goriupp's brilliant 51st-minute save from Peter Stöger ensured that would not happen.
