Impressive career
The 32-year-old midfield player has been bought from Romanian second division team FC Extensiv Craiova on a one-and-a-half-year contract. During an impressive career, Cristescu spent eleven years with FC Universitatea Craiova in two spells and also had a brief period with Dynamo Berlin in Germany.
Third in table
Steaua are hopeful Cristescu will provide experience to the club’s play and cover in case any of the club’s squad decide to leave before the season resumes next year. The club are third in the Divizia A table, just four points adrift of leaders FC National Bucuresti.
