Turkey round-up: Fenerbahçe crash

Fenerbahçe SK wasted the chance to go top of the 1. Lig in Turkey on Friday when they lost 2-1 at Diyarbakirspor. The Istanbul giants would have moved two points clear of Galatasaray SK had they beaten their mid-table opponents.

Superb performance
However Diyarbakirspor belied their league position with a superb performance to beat their more illustrious opponents. After Andre N'Gole had had a goal disallowed for offside, Murat Duram fired the hosts in front from Onder Deniz's corner after 62 minutes.

Fazli Ulusal volleyed his side two ahead three minutes from time when he got on the end of Selçuk Beyaz's cross. Fenerbahçe snatched a stoppage-time consolation through Serhat Akin.
